Dibba Al-Hisn embarrasses Al-Ain… and Khribin’s “hat-trick” gives Al-Wahda points for Kalba
Al Ain presented a lackluster performance against its guest, Dibba Al Hisn, and tied with them hard-fought with a goal each in the match that brought them together yesterday, at the opening of the sixth stage of the ADNOC Professional Football League.
Dibba Al Hisn advanced through a penalty kick successfully executed by Osama Al Haddadi (71), after Al Ain goalkeeper Mohamed Businda obstructed striker Kasama inside the box.
Al Ain waited until the third minute of stoppage time to equalize through Laba Kodjo, after a mistake committed by Dibba Al Hisn goalkeeper, Suhail Abdullah.
Before that, Laba Kodjo had missed a penalty kick, which he shot over the crossbar (86).
With that result, Al-Zaeem fell a new step after remaining in sixth place “temporarily” with eight points, while Dibba Al-Hisn earned its first point in the league.
In the second match, which was held yesterday, Syrian striker Omar Khribin led Al-Wahda to achieve a well-deserved victory over its guest, Kalba, 3-1, in the match that brought them together at Al Nahyan Stadium.
After the visiting team took the lead through its Iranian striker, Shahriar Moganlou, taking advantage of Caio Eduardo’s cross, and heading it into the net after a lapse on the part of defender Pimienta (8), Al-Wahda succeeded in equalizing through Omar Khribin, after a distinguished effort by Erkenov, to put the ball in.
Then it was on a golden platter for the Syrian striker, who in turn shot into the net (26).
Khribin returned to give his team the lead by adding the second goal, thanks to Brahima Diarra’s pass, to score comfortably without interference from the defense (38).
The Syrian striker continued his brilliance in the second half and added the third goal for him and his team (a hat-trick), after a cross ball that passed the defenders and reached him in the empty space to put it into the goal (60).
With that result, Al-Wahda maintained its presence in third place after raising its score to 13 points, two points behind Al-Sharjah and Shabab Al-Ahly, who will meet tomorrow evening in this stage, while Kalba’s score froze at seven points in seventh place.
