Dutch Amsterdam champion of the triple basket “Abu Dhabi 2024”

The Dutch Amsterdam team won the World Basketball Triennial Tour (Abu Dhabi 2024), after winning the final match over Miami of the United States 21-14.

Executive Director of the Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Talal Al Hashemi, congratulated the Amsterdam team on winning the tournament, praising its wonderful performance in the final match, and the strong competition on the part of the two teams amid the encouragement and enthusiasm of the fans.

The Dutchman Worthy de Jong from the Amsterdam team won the title of best player in the tournament, and the Filipino David Carlos won the “Dunk Contest” competition and received his prize amounting to four thousand dollars, while the winner of the three-pointers competition, with a prize amounting to $500, was Dejan Maestrovic, the star of the Serbian team UB.

The World Tour offered a total of $160,000 in financial prizes, including $40,000 for the champion, $30,000 for the runner-up, and $22,000 for the third-place finisher.
