From Counter to Phone to Dupatta to Bag: Women Caught on Cam Stealing Diamond Ring in Gwalior

In a simple, yet daring heist caught on camera, two women stole a diamond-studded gold ring from a jewellery shop in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior.

The theft came to light when the shop owner reviewed the CCTV footage and shared it on social media.

He gave the women until Saturday evening to return the stolen ring, following which he lodged a complaint with the police.

The footage shows the women entering Kisan Jewellers in Daulatganj area of Gwalior around 3pm on October 25.

Pretending to be customers they ask an employee to show them some pieces of jewellery.

While the staff tended to their request, one of the women, who was wearing a yellow suit, used her mobile phone to conceal a ring from the counter, swiftly covering it with her dupatta.

She then hid the diamond-studded gold ring in the folds of her dupatta and kept it in her bag.

The two women then left the shop.

The shop owner realised that the ring was missing while doing inventory in the evening.

While reviewing the CCTV footage, he saw the two women stealing the ring.

The shop owner posted the CCTV footage on social media, giving the two women until Saturday evening to return the ring.

When the women did not show up, he filed a complaint with the Kotwali police station late on Saturday night.

The Kotwali police have registered a case of theft, and a search for the accused women is underway.
