Ali Mabkhout leads Al-Nasr to a triple win over Al-Ahly Sanaa in the Gulf Champions League

Al-Nasr team defeated Al-Ahly Sanaa of Libya with a score of 3-1 in the second round of the first group of the Gulf Football Champions League, today, Wednesday.

Al-Nasr took the lead with an early goal scored by Ali Mabkhout eight minutes into the match, which was held at the Qatari club Al-Duhail Stadium.

Mabkhout added the second goal for him and his team in the 11th minute, and Ali Mabkhout passed the ball to his colleague Nasser Al Nuaimi to score the third goal in the 38th minute.

The Yemeni team reduced the gap with its only goal, scored by Youssef Al-Haimi in the 43rd minute.

Al-Nasr jumped to the top of the group with six points, achieving the full score after a strong 5-2 victory over Dhofar of Oman in the first round.

As for Al-Ahly Sanaa, they remained at the bottom of the standings without a score after losing to Iraqi Dohuk in the first round.

Earlier today, Wednesday, Oman’s Dhofar tied with Iraq’s Dohuk, 1-1.

The third round will be held over the course of next November 26 and 27, with Al-Nasr hosting Dohuk of Iraq, while Dhofar of Oman will play against its guest Ahly Sanaa.
