'Anti-Hindu, Anti-Sanatan': BJP Slams Congress For Kharge's 'Terrorist' Remark Against Yogi

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks about Yogi Adityanath has triggered a fresh controversy, with the BJP slamming the party for calling the Uttar Pradesh chief minister a “terrorist”.

Calling the Congress “anti-Hindu” and “anti-Sanatan”, the BJP said the party is the only one to talk about “saffron terrorism” and “Hindu terror”.

It said while Kharge is saying how Adityanath’s gerua attire should not be brought into politics, he would not say the same about Muslim religious leaders.

“This is the true philosophy and DNA of the Congress, which is anti-Hindu and anti-Sanatan.

Therefore, the Congress is now saying those who wear gerua and saffron, the clothes of a sadhu should not come into politics but will they ever say this about maulana and maulvi?” said BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla on the Congress president’s statement.

In a no-holds-barred attack, Kharge on Monday attacked the UP chief minister for his “batenge toh katenge” (if divided, we will be wiped out) remarks and alleged that he believes in “mukh me Ram, bagal me chhuri” (a wolf in lamb’s clothing).

“A true Yogi cannot use language like ‘batenge toh katenge’ (if divided, we will be wiped out).

This language is used by terrorists.

Yogi is head of a mutt, wears saffron robes, but believes in mukh me Ram bagal me chhuri,” he said at a public rally in poll-bound Jharkhand’s Ranchi.

He said former Congress president Sonia Gandhi forgave one of Rajiv Gandhi’s killers while party leader Priyanka Gandhi embraced the killer.

“This is compassion,” he added.

‘Congress Has Lost Mental Balance’ Another BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi said the Congress has “lost mental balance” and the party will have to pay a heavy price for Kharge’s remarks.

He alleged that a party, which is “sympathetic” towards terrorists, is doing “religious appeasement” by calling a Hindu saint (Yogi Adityanath) a “terrorist.

” “The Congress, which is chanting caste-based slogans, is scared of the slogan ‘batenge toh katenge’.

A panicked Congress has lost mental balance.

Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement will be very heavy on the Congress,” he said.
