Australia vs Pakistan 1st ODI Highlights: Australia led by Pat Cummins managed to take the win in the first ODI of the three-match series against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Monday.

The pitch at the MCG was not an easy one for the batters who struggled across both sides.

Pakistan, who were asked to bat first, set a target of 204 runs.

The skipper, Mohammad Rizwan was the top-scorer with 44 runs while Naseem Shah chipped in a handy 40 runs as well in the first innings.

The chase was not an easy one for the home side.

Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi combined to get rid of both opening batters within the first four overs of the second innings.

Steve Smith and Josh Inglis stabilised the chase but were not able to see it through as both men were gone at 44 and 49 respectively.

Haris Rauf came in the middle stages of the second innings to run through the Aussie batters to put pressure on the home side.

But the skipper Cummins showcased his resilience with a handy cameo of 32 runs to complete the chase.
