By-election date changed in three states including UP, now voting will be held on this day

Lucknow.

The dates of by-elections in three states have been changed.

The date of by-elections in the assembly constituencies of Kerala, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh has been rescheduled due to various festivals.

According to the Election Commission, now voting on all 9 seats will be held on November 20 instead of 13.

The result will come on 23rd November.

The Election Commission has taken this decision on the request of Congress, BJP, BSP, RLD and other national and state level parties and to rule out any possibility of low turnout.

By-elections in the assembly constituencies in three states Kerala, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh will now be held on November 20 instead of November 13.

The results of by-elections to be held in all the states across the country will come on October 23.

Actually, the election results of Jharkhand and Maharashtra Assembly are also to come on this day.

Voting is to be held in two phases in Jharkhand on 13 and 20 November.

Whereas in Maharashtra, voting will be held in a single phase on November 20.
