A formal letter issued to Akhoon by the Provincial President Kashmir, Advocate Showkat Ahmad Mir, outlined that the suspension was a result of actions deemed detrimental to the party’s interests.
“As directed by Dr.
Farooq Abdullah, President of JKNC, you are suspended from the basic membership of JKNC for a period of six years for your anti-party activities,” the letter read.
Akhoon has been a prominent figure in the NC for years.
