Ola Electric In Trouble As CCPA Orders Probe Over Consumer Complaint Resolution Practices

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has initiated an in-depth investigation into numerous consumer complaints filed against Ola Electric, India’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer, sources have told CNBC-TV18.

The Consumer Affairs Ministry instructed the Director General (DG) Investigation, CCPA’s investigative arm, to initiate this probe last week.

This comes after the company responded to a CCPA show-cause notice on October 21, 2024.

In its response, Ola Electric claimed to have resolved 99.

10 percent of the complaints it received.

However, the CCPA’s own review suggests otherwise, prompting the regulatory authority to dig deeper into the matter.
