Women’s Champions Trophy begins, first match between Japan and Korea

The Asian Women’s Hockey Champions Trophy has started for the first time from today in Rajgir, Bihar.
This historic competition was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at Rajgir Sports Complex.
Teams from Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, India and Malaysia will showcase their talent in this competition organized by the Sports Department and Bihar State Sports Authority.
The first match of the Women’s Hockey Champions Trophy was played between Japan and Korea at 12:15 pm.
After this, at 2:30 pm the teams of China and Thailand came face to face.
The most exciting match of the day will be played between hosts India and Malaysia at 4:45 pm.
Extensive preparations have been made for this Women’s Hockey Champions tournament, which will run from November 11 to November 20, in which special attention has been paid to security and convenience.
This tournament will be telecast live in 168 countries of the world, while 30 national level channels will cover it.
State-of-the-art facilities and strict security arrangements have been made during the tournament in the sports complex of Rajgir.
As soon as the online booking process for tickets for the tournament started, tickets for all the days were booked.
According to the Sports Department, Rajgir Sports Complex has been designed as per international standards.
Gate number three of the East Stand has been specially decorated for the convenience of the spectators.
The local administration has made elaborate security arrangements.
